Keith and Shirley Baker's Pond This pond was designed and built in a natural freeform style. The pond was constructed with a rubber liner, is 2 feet deep, has a surface area of 85 square feet, and holds about 1300 gallons of water. The waterfall is about three feet high, falls over two levels covered by large flat rocks, and contains an Aquascape System. The pond is also edged with large flat rocks.The surface of the pond is covered with both tropical and hardy water lilies, a lotus plant, elephant ears, and parrot feather. Koi and goldfish reside in the pond. The pond is surrounded by containers containing allamanda, bougainvillea, and hibiscus.There are also flower beds containing day lilies, lantana, amaryllis, and various other plants.
Julie and John Newman’s pond (approximately 5000 gallons) is built on two levels. Water enters the larger upper pond from a low wide waterfall. The water from the upper pond flows over a center waterfall into the lower smaller pond. Each pond features numerous tropical day and night blooming water lilies (about 9 different varieties of tropical water lilies) as well as marginal and submerged plants. The perimeter of the pond is surrounded with Texas Hill Country rock and by numerous landscape plants, primarily perennials.
Rehabilitation and Nursing Home This grotto like pond and waterfall occupy a large portion of the home’s lobby area and is very pretty. A stream runs under deck areas where chairs are placed so guests can visit with friends and family by the pond and watch the fish and listen to the wonderful sound of flowing water.
Roger & Kathleen Dietrich’s Pond This 11’ x 19’ pond is situated off of the patio. It contains koi and goldfish and numerous aquatic and marginal plants, such as elephant ears and water hyacinths. This pond features an Aquascape Systems, including a waterfall and skimmer. A trellis covered path leads you through a nicely landscaped yard.
