COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE – TREASURER oversees this Committee and is responsible for finding a Committee Chairperson. The Committee Chairperson is responsible for recruiting volunteers with the help of the TREASURER.  In the absence of a chairperson, the TREASURER assumes the responsibilities of the Chairperson.  

 

Responsible for…

·         planning projects for the year, such as pond tours and workshops.

·         finding ponds and getting the tour organized.

·         finding volunteers to help at the ponds and establish times

·         Coordinating with the Publicity Committee for PBA’s and other announcements and programs.

·         bringing to the club membership, ideas as to where to apply the proceeds from the tours.

·         seeing that money gets dispersed, or in the case of a project that requires club participation, they will be responsible for organizing materials, getting volunteersand carrying through with said project (does not mean they are responsible to do all the work involved).

 

PUBLICITY COMMITTEE – NEWSLETTER EDITOR oversees this Committee and is responsible for finding a Committee Chairperson. The Committee Chairperson is responsible for recruiting volunteers with the help of the NEWSLETTER EDITOR.  In the absence of a chairperson, the NEWSLETTER EDITOR assumes the responsibilities of the Chairperson.

 

Responsible for…

• organizing and getting publicity for meetings and activities.
• working closely with COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE to get advertising everywhere.
• Developing and maintaining our club informational brochures and sees that they get to the Commercial Relations Committee for dispersal.
• helping to gather information to include in the monthly newsletters, articles, informational pieces, etc.

 

HOSPITALITY AND RECOGNITION COMMITTEE –  SECRETARY oversees this Committee and is responsible for finding a Committee Chairperson. The Committee Chairperson is responsible for recruiting volunteers with the help of the SECRETARY.  In the absence of a chairperson, the SECRETARY assumes the responsibilities of the Chairperson.

 

Responsible for…

• welcoming new members and mentoring them.
• making sure new members know about our library, get name tags, and club membership brochures
• generally helping new members realize the benefits to joining and making them aware of member discounts at local and online retail stores.
• sending thank you notes to presenters & business sponsors and volunteers.
• putting together year end programs for officers and volunteers throughout the year
• contacting absent members
• conducting membership drive
• maintaining the Library

 

 

PROGRAM COMMITTEE  - VICE PRESIDENT oversees this Committee and is responsible for finding a Committee Chairperson. The Committee Chairperson is responsible for recruiting volunteers with the help of the VICE PRESIDENT.  In the absence of a chairperson, the VICE PRESIDENT assumes the responsibilities of the Chairperson.

 

Responsible for…

• finding and organizing programs and speakers for the monthly business meetings.
• Planning and organizing club activities, such as trips, club workshops, etc.

 

 

COMMERCIAL RELATIONS – PRESIDENT oversees this Committee and is responsible for finding a Committee Chairperson. The Committee Chairperson is responsible for recruiting volunteers with the help of the PRESIDENT.  In the absence of a chairperson, the PRESIDENT assumes the responsibilities of the Chairperson.

 

Responsible for…

·         making contact and maintaining our relationships with area retailers. (Letting them know we exist)

·         establishing club discounts or promotional door prizes.

·         handing out club information to local retailers

·         helping the Community Events Committee recruit sponsors for our special events.
